This week in preparation reflect on these things

Call to Worship - Isaiah 42:5-8 "Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols."

Scripture Reading (Sermon Text) - Romans 12:9-13 "Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality."

Confession: Lord bring new life where we are worn and tired; new love where we have turned hard-hearted; forgiveness where we feel hurt and wounded; and the joy and freedom of your Holy Spirit where we are prisoners ourselves. Lord have mercy; Christ have mercy.

Assurance: To everyone in this community, where repentance is true, Jesus pronounces his pardon and grants us the right to begin again. Amen.
